The Super Ghost, this orchid continues to amaze me. “The Super Ghost Orchid” has continued to bloom in the Corkscrew Swamp for years after it was first discovered. I have followed “the ghost” from the beginning, 2007. Before witnessing “the super ghost”, I studied “the ghost orchid” through books, aware that it was elusive and extremely rare. According to my research, three blooms was the largest documented, photographed “ghost”, that was before the discovery of ” The Super Ghost” which captivated and amazed all who sought it. The Mecca to see this amazing, plant, was far reaching. I knew I was witnessing something “big” as I entered the swamp, the droves of people, the largest cameras I had ever seen and the media. The cameras were on rollers and the media personalities were not local. I still consider it one of my best life experiences. I dream of one day discovering another amazing super ghost, until then I will follow and visit the “jewel of the swamp”, at the Corkscrew Swamp.
