“Becoming Vintage” and “The Art of Nesting”
An affair to remember. Lost and Found. I found a beautifully worn vintage bag with a nest dotted with small multi colored eggs. Three were pale blue while one was a neutral hue specked with a darker hue. I wondered if the eggs were lost; after several days of study I found an angry bird. With anticipation the guarded blue bird tended to his eggs, my interest became disturbing to his duty. As he flew away, I too left the nest with no further disturbance.
The following pictures were taken before I discovered the “egg sitter”.
Because I do not have a definitive ending to this story; the story does not end for me. I like the bird remain in a state of anticipation, ready for an arrival with no reassurance it will ever happen.
The vintage textile became an ideal nesting spot, based on opportunity. The hanging bag, intended for clothes pins, was weathered by exposure, the colors seen were the product of time and seasonal changes.
Timeless art captured, an affair to remember.
