Staghorn or Stag Horn Fern, Air Plant Love

Casual Living. If you are seeking that wow factor, for your casual garden, the Platycerium Bifurcatum better known as a staghorn or stag horn fern, fits the bill. The staghorn is an airplant, that is coveted treasure for southern gardens.

Staghorns are commonly mounted on boards but generally thrive in the shade of a host tree. Although care for this spectacular plant is minimal, partial shade and vitamin care are recommended.

The stag horn fern is a slow growing plant; time and care of such an unusual species will offer its cultivator years of enjoyment.
